We treat patients that suffer from mood disorders, anxiety disorder, bipolar disorder, PTSD, eating disorders including binge eating disorder, geriatric depression, behavioral issues associated with Alzheimer’s, dementia and Parkinson’s disease.

What is a psychiatrist?

Psychiatry is the branch of medicine focused on the diagnosis, treatment and prevention of mental, emotional and behavioral disorders.

A psychiatrist is a medical doctor (an M.D. or D.O.) who specializes in mental health, including substance use disorders. Psychiatrists are qualified to assess both the mental and physical aspects of psychological problems.

Why a Geriatric Program?

Geriatric psychiatry emphasizes the biological and psychological aspects of normal aging, the psychiatric effect of acute and chronic physical illness, and the biological and psychosocial aspects of the pathology of primary psychiatric disturbances of older age. Will insurance cover the program?

We do take multiple insurances such as United, Blue Cross Blue Shield, Aetna, and Medicare but we suggest you discuss any major medical decisions with your insurance provider.

What mood disorders are taken?

All mood disorders, psychotic disorders, stress-related disorders, personality disorders, Alzheimer Disease, mood effects of Parkinson’s and substance abuse. Come in for a screening to help determine the best mental health route.

Are medications prescribed?

We offer medication management but we try to keep an open discussion between the client, therapist, and psychiatrist as to the needs of the client.
